He said that Ayaz depicted Thar as a land of diversity and likened the sand dunes and terrain of Thar to Iranian carpets because of constantly changing colours during shifting of sands with varying directions of winds. He said that he had authored the new book on Ayaz’s poetry with special reference to Thar on the eve of the New Year by launching the book from sand dunes of Thar. MITHI: Shaikh Ayaz always saw Thar as a land of light, tolerance, noble values, insight and exemplary interfaith harmony and tried to infuse natural beauty of the desert in his poetry, said Prof Noor Ahmed Janjhi at the launch of his new English book Thar and Ayaz on Friday evening.
